Public Hearing Notice
The Committee on Commerce & Economic Development of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items:
140639 .... An Ordinance amending Chapter 17-104 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Prerequisites to the Execution of City Contracts," by requiring city contractors and subcontractors to use best efforts to provide goods made in Philadelphia, made in Pennsylvania or made in America when fulfilling city contract requirements and requiring quarterly reports indicating the cost and place of origin and/or manufacture for goods supplied pursuant to city contracts, and providing for penalties for violations of these requirements; all under certain terms and conditions.
150010 .... An Ordinance amending Chapter 17-1600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Economic Opportunity Plans", to require that certain Economic Opportunity Plans incorporate the requirements of the First Source Jobs Policy contained in Chapter 17-2000 of The Philadelphia Code; all under certain terms and conditions.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Commerce & Economic Development, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
