NOTICE OF RESCHEDULED REGULAR
MEETING OF THE SCHOOL REFORM
COMMISSION NOTICE OF AMENDMENT
OF DEBT RESOLUTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a rescheduled regular meeting of the School Reform Commission of the School District of Philadelphia ("School District") to be duly called and held on Thursday, September 23, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., Philadelphia time, in the Auditorium of the School District located at 440 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or at a meeting to be duly called and held on a date which is not more than thirty (30) days nor less than three (3) days from the date of publication of this Notice, the School Reform Commission will consider and act upon a resolution ("Resolution") entitled:
RESOLUTION NO. SRC-1
OF THE SCHOOL REFORM COMMISSION OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. SRC-1 ADOPTED BY THE SCHOOL REFORM COMMISSION ("COMMISSION") OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA ("SCHOOL DISTRICT") ON DECEMBER 8, 2010, AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT AND EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING LETTER OF CREDIT AND REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT AND TO ENTER INTO LETTERS OF CREDIT AND REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENTS WITH COMMERCIAL BANKS TO REPLACE THE EXISTING LETTER OF CREDIT WITH RESPECT TO THE SERIES G BONDS (AS HEREIN DEFINED); AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ENTER INTO TWO REMARKETING AGREEMENTS AND TO, SOLELY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CONVENIENCE, ALLOCATE THE OUTSTANDING PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF SERIES G BONDS INTO TWO SERIES TO RELATE TO THE RESPECTIVE LETTERS OF CREDIT TO BE ISSUED WITH RESPECT TO THE SERIES G BONDS; AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A REMARKETING CIRCULAR AND THE DISTRIBUTION THEREOF; MAKING VARIOUS OTHER APPROVALS AND DETERMINATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICERS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE TO CARRY OUT THIS RESOLUTION
The Resolution may be amended prior to adoption by the Commission as it deems appropriate. If the Resolution is adopted, a notice of adoption will be advertised after adoption in accordance with the Local Government Unit Debt Act, 53 Pa. C.S. Chs. 80-82.
The full text of the Resolution as proposed may be examined by any citizen in the Office of Parent, Community and Family Engagement of the School District, 440 North Broad Street, Suite 114, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19130, on any business day (except Saturday and Sunday) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Philadelphia time.
Persons wishing to address the Commission at the Rescheduled Regular Meeting must register by calling the School District Office of Parent, Community and Family Engagement at (215) 400-4180 no later than by 4:30 p.m. on the business day immediately preceding the day of such meeting.
