In 2018, the Planning Department (DCPD) received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) to prepare a feasibility study for the Media-Smedley Connector Trail Feasibility Study. It is proposed to connect to a trailhead within Smedley County Park in Nether Providence and Springfield Townships to the Borough of Media and Upper Providence and Middletown Township's Mineral Hill Area parks, specifically to Scott Park in Upper Providence. Although most of the plan will be prepared in-house, the County is seeking technical assistance from a consulting firm for specific tasks in support of the project for a cost not to exceed $25,000.
A Pre-submission Briefing will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Delaware County Planning Department office located at 1055 East Baltimore Pike, Media PA 19063. All questions are to be submitted by July 9, 2019, and all proposals will be due July 23, 2019.
